This article analyzes the correspondence –based on three letters– between Antonio de Nebrija and Cristóbal Escobar, one of his pupils who made an edition of Introductiones Latinae for the Sicilian audience. In the article it is explained how the first letter (1504), sent by Nebrija to Escobar, represents the germ of the project, while the second one (ca. 1509), sent by Escobar to his teacher, is its culmination. The third letter (1513) is an Escobar’s praise and a recognition to the edition he carried out.

Abstract
